Frequently asked questions
How is Paint Booth Studio different from Paint Booth?
Paint Booth is a quick live preview — drop a texture and see it on a 3D vehicle. Paint Booth Studio is a full layer-based editor: paint, mask, adjust, and organize layers on a canvas while the 3D preview updates in real time, then export the finished texture.
What file formats can I import?
PNG, JPG, WebP, DDS, PSD (Photoshop), XCF (GIMP), AI (Illustrator), and PDN (Paint.NET) for textures, plus YFT, GLB, and OBJ models for the live preview.
Can I preview my edits on a vehicle in real time?
Yes. Import a YFT, GLB, or OBJ model and the docked 3D preview updates instantly as you paint and adjust the texture.
How do I export a texture for FiveM?
Export a PNG (Cmd/Ctrl+E) for immediate use, or export a native GTA5 YTD — that requires power-of-two canvas dimensions (256, 512, 1024…) and a loaded model.
Can I save a project and come back to it?
Yes. Projects save locally in your browser with full layers and edit history. Free accounts can save up to 2 projects; paid plans are unlimited.
What editing tools are included?
Select, Move, Brush, Eraser, Fill, Text, Color Picker, Pen, and shapes, plus image adjustments like Levels, Hue/Saturation, Blur, and Sharpen — organized with a full Layers panel and layer masks.
